IT'S TIME 2 GO 2 TIERS
Whilst 2020 provided plenty of challenges, what it did prove was that the hunger for T20 recreational cricket is prominent in our county, and as such The Surrey Slam Midweek will be a two-tier competition from the off in 2021.
It has always been the ambition of The Slam to have a dual level approach, and we're delighted to be realising that after just 3 years. We've worked to get more than 500 players back into cricket already and this offering of a lower level competition will make The Slam even more accessible for those wanting to get back involved in the game we love.
Exactly where the player eligibility split between the two tiers occurs will depend upon the number and spread of teams involved as it is vital we retain the localised element of the competition, but it will be done so in full consultation with the teams involved.
There will be no change to the upper player restriction levels for the upper tier, which existed this year (see the ELIGIBILTIY RULES) and clubs will be able to enter a team in each tier if they wish as matches will revert back to being played within fortnightly windows and both teams wouldn't be scheduled at home in the same window.
Although things are at the early stage, please do not hesitate to CONTACT us for more details.
At this point both the Women's & Sundays Slams will be single tier competitions in 2021.

ENTER NOW FOR 2021
Whilst certain restrictions are likely to remain in place, we are hopeful that we will be able to run a full Slam season across the Midweek, Women's and Sundays competition in 2021, and you can ensure that your team is involved by entering NOW.
NO ROOM INDOORS FOR 2020/21
Unfortunately, due to the understandable restrictions on adult, indoor sport that are imposed at this time, we will be unable to run a Surrey Slam Indoor competition this winter.
We share the disappointment of the many teams that enjoy this format of the game, which provides a fantastic way to keep your eye in over the colder months, but we're sure all appreciate the necessity of the situation and we hope to back up and running next year.

it's time to get you back playing cricket
Regardless of the restrictions that are likely to be in play in 2021, The Surrey Slam will still be providing exciting cricket competitions that are fun, fast and convenient - perfect for those who struggle to find the time to play the longer form of cricket, but don't want to leave the game all together.
Whether you are a player looking for a team, or a team looking for a different brand of cricket, just click on the competition that interests you from the below to find out more and let us help you get more out of the game we love.
Each version is based upon our overriding principle of getting MORE CRICKET PLAYED BY MORE PEOPLE, as such they employ:
- player eligibility rules to ensure a level playing field;
- playing rules to ensure each match is fast-paced and accessible for the busiest of players;
- regionalised groups to minimise travelling time;
- flexible fixture windows to help teams fit matches into already busy schedules;
- batting and bowling restrictions to ensure everyone participates;
- bold imagery and social media to enhance engagement in the competition;
