- IMR.1 - Each innings is to be completed within 25 minutes, and each match within 50 minutes. It is each team's responsibility to ensure these times are kept to and play is not delayed. The umpires have the authority to issue 6-run penalties for each instance that contributes to a material delay and/or amend the length of a match / innings if it overruns the allotted time.
- IMR.2 - In the event that a match is terminated early the Competition Management shall determine the result of the match based on all the factors associated with the match and the reasons for it being concluded early.
- IMR.3 - Each team shall consist of no more than 6 players.
- IMR.4 - Each innings shall consist of 12 overs of 6 deliveries. All overs shall be bowled from the same end with only the batsmen changing ends at the end of each over.
- IMR.5 - No bowler shall bowl any more than 3 overs in one full innings.
- IMR.6 - The Competition shall provide an appropriately sized indoor cricket ball to be used throughout the match.
- IMR.7 - All participating players are expected to wear appropriate protective clothing.
- IMR.8 - All matches shall be officiated and scored (electronically) by the Competition-arranged umpires.
- IMR.9 - Runs shall be scored by the batting team as follows:

- IMR.10 - Batters can be caught out off of any non-boundary wall so long as the ball has not touched the floor at any point.
- IMR.11 - Batters can be run-out after the ball strikes any non-boundary wall but will still receive 1 RUN for the wall strike.
- IMR.12 - A catch will be valid regardless of whether the fielder is in contact with any wall or not.
- IMR.13 - Where a ball gets 'trapped' within any part of the hall, or its equipment, 1 RUN scored. A further 2 RUNS will be scored for any run commenced before the point where the ball is deemed 'trapped'.
- IMR.14 - A batter shall retire not out at the moment the ball is declared dead for the first time after they reach or exceed 25 runs. They may return when all other wickets are lost or remaining batters have retired.
- IMR.15 - Any wide delivery shall result in 3 RUNS being awarded to the batting team, but no extra delivery shall be bowled unless it is in the final over.
- IMR.16 - A wide delivery shall be awarded for any delivery down that travels down the leg-side of the batter without touching the batter's bat or his body or equipment.
- IMR.17 - Any no-ball shall result in 3 RUNS being awarded to the batting team, but no extra delivery shall be bowled unless it is in the final over.
- IMR.18 - A no-ball shall be awarded as follows:

- IMR.19 - If a bowler is suspended from bowling due to persistent dangerous bowling, as decreed by the umpire(s), the remaining deliveries in the over in which he is suspended will be scored as 6 RUNS to the batting team.
- IMR.20 - The innings shall be closed when wither the allotted overs have been completed or 6 WICKETS have been taken.
- IMR.21 - After the 5th wicket has fallen the out batter shall remain to act as runner for the remaining batter..
- IMR.22 - Teams with less than 5 players may not have any batter bat more than once under any circumstances.
The Surrey Slam Indoor is a competition in its own right, but it also incorporates the Surrey section of the National Indoor 6-a-side National Competition.
Any team may enter but only teams affiliated to the Surrey Cricket Board may progress to the National rounds and players need to be members of that affiliated club.
The league section of The Surrey Slam Indoor will be competed between October and the end of December 2019 on a weekly basis on the nights assigned to each of the CENTRES. This will be followed by a Finals competition in early January to determine the county winner who shall progress to the next round of the National Competition.
Whilst the details are still to be finalised it is expected that the Finals shall run as follows:

No player can play in more than one team during any single season and should be a paid-up member of the club that they are representing, not a guest player.
